In recent years, Chongqing tourism has shown a trend of rapid development as pathfinding of reform and development while being motivated by some key projects, and the key project “4+1” tourist attractions (Yangtze Three Gorges, Dazu Stone Carvings, metropolis with mountain and water landscape and Wujiang River Painting Gallery and Landscape in Wuling) is promoted. The golden triangle tourist section Wushan – Fengjie – Wuxi belongs to the key section in Yangtze Three Gorges tourist section, which serves as a driving engine in transforming Chongqing into a tourist city and becoming a city with strong tourism economic in China.

 As one of the key tourism planning projects in Wushan County during the period of the 12th five-year plan, this planning aims to guide tourism in Wushan transforming from transit sightseeing to leisure resort destination through planning and constructing the Wushan and Three Gorges National Tourist Resort, which is of strategic importance in enriching tourism products in Wushan Mountain as an international destination, improving function and auxiliary facility and extending the value of tourist industry.
